This chopper is the perfect size for making meals for two people such as chicken salad or tuna salad. It is quiet and extremely powerful and efficient. Love it!

Small but effective!

This chopper is small but extremely effective. I found myself using it to chop up onions and garlic for meatballs quickly. I also used it to chop up fresh herbs and it was extremely effective. I have a very large food processor that is a pain to clean, but this 5 cup chopper cleans up in a breeze! I greatly appreciate that the blade and whipping attachment are stored in the cup. When I want to use it, all of the pieces are there and I don't have to hunt around in a cabinet for the blades. I think this chopper is small enough to be stored on the counter top, and could be used for everyday cooking. The cord also wraps around the base so it can be stored easily in a cabinet. My only negative opinion is how hard the lid is to open when it is new and you are unsure where to hold when twisting.

Handy unit with many great features

Got this chopper just a week or so ago. It can handle a surprising volume of food and never complained. It powered through 4 cups of baba ganoush beautifully (this isn't always an easy task). Nuts, onions, herbs-- you name it and this thing will chop it. Prep work is super-quick now. Need mayonnaise? Done! (The Drizzle Basin really works well) If there is one complaint, it was that the top is a bit fiddly to attach at first, but it is getting easier with more use. The two speed options make managing your rate of attack much easier, widening the line between chopped nuts and nut butter. Cleanup is quick and easy!

This doesn't take up a lot of room in your cabinets and does a great job. We love the pour feature to make a dressing after chopping up the other ingredients.
I did receive the product for free but would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Excellent product, easy to use!

My family and I have made a smoked salmon spread in several appliances and this by far was the easiest and most efficient. I was able to chop the onions, and purée the spread all in one appliance and it turned out great! Not to mention how quiet it is when in use.

Efficient chopping for everyday use

I tested this by making tomato basil soup. It handled finely chopping basil for the soup base using the purée function and also for garnish using the chop function. I also used it to finely chop onion and I was very pleased with a fine dice that had no shredding.
It has a small footprint so it's easy to keep on the counter. It washed up nicely in the dishwasher. I particularly liked the on/off switch in the handle as it made controlling the degree of chopping easy. A winner!

I have had this KitchenAid food processor for a few weeks now and find that it far exceeds the previous processor I was using in every way. It is extremely easy to use, it runs more quietly and it is far more effective at both chopping and pureeing than the one it replaced.

Very powerful for lightweight and small appliance

This appliance is very attractive, takes little space, and is lightweight which is crucial for me. Most effective choppers have heavy motors and compared to my ninja bullet this fits so much more in and makes less noise too. Just made pesto with purée feature in less than a minute! My only suggestion is be careful the lid is locked. Thank you kitchen aid for another high quality kitchen appliance.

Small Enough to Be on the Counter
Amanda_in_MO

This chopper is small enough to be on my counter but big enough to handle most chopping jobs. I have had this chopper a couple of weeks and now I am looking for recipes that their are parts that need to be chopped, pureed, whipped, etc. It is that fun!
I own a 9-cup KitchenAid food processor with a 4-cup mini bowl. I used it quite a bit at first but eventually gave up on getting it out as everything about it was painful to use. I just got used to doing all my own chopping, whisking, etc. No more! This chopper is at my fingertips and is easy to use and clean. I wish I had at least a couple of bowls because I don't run my dishwasher as much as I use the chopper!
Things I love about it:
- Quiet.
- Doesn't jump all over the counter.
- The cord wraps around the base and ends up on the back so I don't have to look at the plug.
- The blade is close to the bottom so no chunks are left after chopping.
- A very even, fine chop as I like my veggies very small.
- The center tube is tall enough not to allow liquid to drip out when starting to pour (my food processor does this)
- Comes out of my Bosch dishwasher looking great.
- Making my own salad dressing, salsa, and whip cream.
- Strong enough to chop walnuts and gentle enough to whip meringue.
- Can add oil through the hole in the top so I don't have to stop, open, add, close, start, repeat.
Things not so favorable:
- I have a hard time getting the bowl locked on the base. I have pretty normal sized hands for a woman and I find myself pushing against the speed switch to get the bowl in place. I try to stop myself as I don't want it to break off.
- The 5-cup bowl only holds slightly less than 4 cups. If I have more than that, food goes down the center tube.
- The bowl handle is not very comfortable on my hand.
- Have to hold the attachments in at the top with my finger if I want to pour and not have them fall out or didn't want to take the time to take them out.
- Does not dice.
- Am hoping the lid tab that starts the power switch doesn't break off.
Great little chopper at a reasonable price! Here's to cooking with things that are fun!

Excellent Food Processor
cooking_mickey

This is a very easy to use food processor that does an excellent job of chopping/pureeing food, and the whisk attachment is amazing! It's nice, and compact, and fits perfectly on the counter top with its cord neatly tucked in, and it's not bad to look at either. I now use this as my daily chopper I do have a bigger processor, but I find this small one does a better job chopping/pureeing smaller of amounts food then the bigger kitchenaid processor.
