It's alright 11/19/2019

I got this as a bridal shower gift and I've been wanting one for a while since finding out about gum paste. I've been using it for that and to make bread/pie/cookie doughs and whipped cream and making 200 desserts for my wedding. It's nice to able to let it run and grab another ingredient or just have a quick rest. Here are my complaints for what I wish were better: - It's pretty noisy. I like to watch tv or listen to music or people when baking and when it's on you can't really do that. - Pretty hard to scrape things off the side and/or attached utensil. Even when you tilt the head back you can't really get behind it or things off. Makes it more of a hassle to get every thing mixed in. Almost lose the time gained from the hands-free part from actually making sure everything is mixed. - From above, it usually misses mixing things at the bottom which is frustrating. - No spout on the bowl. Bit of a let down finding that out. Makes it really hard to pour the batter out without a mess. Pretty big oversight and it really takes away from the allure or having the machine. You shouldn't have to pay $100 just to get another bowl so that you have a spout... Overall, I'd say it is okay. Would I buy it myself? No. I don't think it's enough bang for your buck because you have to keep upgrading parts to make it actually as useful as it should be. Honestly, I thought it would be this great thing and now it's something I'm a bit let down by that takes up a bunch of space on my counter. Not worth hundreds of dollars when using your hands or a hand held blender do a better job but are marginally slower and your hands are full.

A must for every cook

I purchased as I am now retired have been trying more recipes and baking more. It has been an excellent asset and gives me the ability to do more in a day. Mixing pie dough is a breeze and easier on my hands. Pie fillings, cookies and cakes are much easier and faster.
