I bought this range last month through Lowe's,replacing my 15 yr old KitchenAid slide in. I love the double oven. I love the handles built into the oven racks! It's easy to use and to clean. The cooktop cleans easily.I use the recommended Affresh cleaner and microfiber cloths.

Second Oven - Second Issue

In February of 2019 we purchased all KitchenAid appliances for our new kitchen. Just a couple weeks after receiving our Double Oven we noticed in the top oven the enamel on the bottom was chipping off into large pieces. We had only used the stove a couple of times and immediately called KitchenAid. After having a tech come out a second oven was delivered to us in May. Just our second time using the oven we had the same issue, but with larger pieces coming off. AGAIN tech came out (same guy) and couldn't believe how bad this one was. KitchenAids fix - using a blue paint marker. The enamel inside is glossy, the pen is matte and makes it look horrible. We had a 3" piece come off this time. We were told when called for the second oven we would have some options for replacing this one, however I am getting the run around from KitchenAid and VERY dissapointed in their help. Before you spend a LOT of MONEY on this Oven, look at other brands. Sorry we spent close to $10k in KitchenAid appliances.

Quirky design, cheaply made knob

We've had this product for over a year. The best feature is the double oven and a glass stovetop. The various heating elements on the stove top are somewhat asymmetrical and it's a little tricky to figure out where to put the pans. The convection system works very well. Overall we are pleased. However One of the heating element control knobs broke. I looked inside and the plastic housing that connected to the metal spindle was broken. I don't think they should've use the plastic part for that. Now I am being charged $39 for a replacement knob. I am going to make a complaint to the management about this. Otherwise it seems to be a good product.

Awesome Oven!

Have been used to gas burners and have to admit was not thrilled about having to have all electric (no gas in apartment building)... how wrong could I be. Disappointed

Don't like to cook anyway 9/18/2018

Built a new house and looked forward to a new double oven. I have two problems. First, the racks lean toward the back and my cakes lean the same way. Had the service man out. Nothing could be done. Second, the timer does a single beep and that is it. I have to set another times so I can hear it in the next room and sometimes even in the same room. My microwave (not kitchen aid) beeps almost continually. Things in the microwave don't have to come out right away and it doesn't keep cooking. Seems backwards to me.

Wish it worked

completely disappointed 9/10/2018

I bought the kitchenaid double oven range in February of 2018-a little over 6 months ago. I previously had a maytag gemini double oven electric I loved. After many years of use the gemini was tired and a new model not available. The Kitchenaid oven doesn't cook well. Internal temperature is correct but the fan only runs when the element heats and everything take twice as long to cook. It started showing error F1E1 faulty circuit board within the first month and reset (oven off) worked for a while. Now I have to shut off the breaker to reset the error. New error yesterday F3E1 shorted or open bottom oven sensor. This range is junk-steer clear. PS: I work on commercial kitchen equipment every day so fixing wouldn't be a big deal except parts are expensive and one needs an authorized service contractor to maintain the warranty. I agree with others citing the burner locator dots look like dirty spots on the cooking surface. Never spilled anything on it or left anything to burn. Just normal drips and splatter from cooking doesn't clean off to a nice shine no matter what specialty cook top cleaner I try. I hate this oven and it will likely end up on the junk pile in less than a year. Waste of $2000!

I have grown up using ovens and this is the worst. It has great Kitchenaid features but the heating elements do not correspond to the dial settings. Also, the range burner configurations prevent me from cooking on more than 2 elements at a time so what good is having 5 elements if I can only use 2. Tried exchanging the oven for another one but no other white oven is made. No happy at all.

Great double ovens

Love that it has two ovens that are a different size. Burner placement is awkward with a very large burner in the center and the others so close to the edge. The only small option in the front is in the middle of the largest burner making it hard to use with other larger pots. Otherwise you have to reach over the large pots to get to your small pots or have a large pot on a small burner. So far it seems to heat evenly and baked cookies nicely.

If you want the truth... the range looks great and performs just fine. I am in love with the double ovens and would never go back. Could things be better? Yes. The control knobs stick out over the cooking pots on the back burners and get steamed badly. The burner placements are awkward. The ones we use the most are to the back and under the control knobs. The black cooktop shows every, little smudge. The beautiful, blue interior seems pretty delicate. Maybe it will harden with use. My main gripe would be that the clock numbers are way to small and much dimmer than those on the VERY bright, matching over the range microwave so they seem mismatched. Still, I would buy the set again.

Oven love!

Let me start by saying that I detest buying new appliances. The new ones always operate a little different from the old. I am a creature of habit...that said, the transition to the range was quick and painless. Every time I open the door to the blue interior, I get a grin on my face. I love the small oven. It gets used several times everyday. The burners work well and fit my pans. There are 2 things I would change. The timer only rings as a single beep. When I am otherwise occupied, I often do not hear it as it is not continuous. The black cooktop needs to be white. While the diamond pattern on the parts where the burners are not does help, it almost always looks dirty. Everyone I know with a black cooktop agrees that it is wicked bad to keep looking clean. I really wish kitchenaid would call and ask me...but they haven't.
