I am happy with my mixer. It isn't very powerful, but it still mashes the potatoes and blends very well. The lock on the back for the cord seems to 'get in the way' on the mixing bowls. I think that's the reason it was only $30. Must be a little mistake there.

Well built and easy to use.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace our cheap Hamilton Beach that seemed to only run two speeds, fast and turbo. The speed adjustment is smooth and has a great range from slow to fast. Only complaint is I wish it included more attachments. I was especially excited about the whisk attachment mentioned in the instructions, only to find it discontinued and the few places that still sell it charge more than we paid for the whole mixer.

I guess this review is for the replacement that Kitchen Aid sent me for this mixer. They were very prompt in replacing the defective one I'd had after only 6 months. This replacement is working fine.

Works Well, Could Use More Power

I bought this to replace my 15 year old Sunbeam handmixer, which still ran but was dying a slow, painful death. I got it on sale at a great price. I don't think I'd have been happy if I'd paid the full price. It's very pretty and it works well enough. I'd have preferred heavier beaters and more difference between the speed settings. I mostly use it for making cookies and it struggles sometimes with the thicker batter. I was a little disappointed with it. All in all though, it's perfectly fine.

I love this mixer for mixing mashed potatoes , whipped cream and puddings. I have several Kitchen aid small appliances and i have to say this is the handiest one i have. Lightweight and Powerful!

I don't have the burden of whisking cakes or cookies for several minutes when I have the KitchenAid Hand Mixer. Prep goes by much faster, and the hand mixer being lightweight makes mixing easier on my hand.

Good solid unit

I bought this a few weeks ago after my old mixer broke. It has a strong motor, feels solid, and beaters are metal not plastic which will really hold up with my cookie dough. First time buying a kitchen aid product and I'm impressed.

Quiet but powerful

I bought this as my second choice only because it was higher in price. As soon as I actually used the first one I bought I was dissatisfied because the release button was hit accidentally as I was moving the speed button resulting in trying to wrangle the beaters covered with batter back into the holes. I then took it back and bought the kitchen aid whose design eliminates this problem!

Lightweight and versatile

Good for lighter foods

I needed a mixer fast and found this at Kohl's at a reasonable price for what I needed it for - cookie dough. I have found that it doesn't handle heavier, larger jobs, such as mashed potatoes. I am happy with it for everyday jobs, but would want a sturdier mixer for heavier jobs

Always wanted a Hand Mixer!

Have two Kitchenaid counter mixers and often wished for just the convience of a hand mixer. I am fussy and only want the best, so when I saw an opportunity to get this hand mixer on sale I took advantage of it. That I am elderly I don't bake as often so I use the hand mixer more often. Now, my oven doesn't work, and I am baking in my Kitchen aid Toaster oven.
